As part of Professor Jean-Christophe Cloutier’s graduate seminar, ENGL 799: Literary Papers and Beyond: The Archive in Theory & Practice, graduate students received minimal training in archival processing and were able to help chip away at the Penn Libraries backlog. The course culminated in a day spent processing three small, unique uncatalogued collections (see below). This initiative was made possible through the enthusiastic collaboration of Penn Libraries’s rockstar Manuscript Cataloging Librarian, Holly Mengel, who was on hand to assist the group. These collections are now open and available for researchers in the Kislak Center. Check them out!
